How Our Network Works
Request an estimate to discuss your bathroom
Confirm who you are speaking with
Allowedwound Walk-In Tubs handles referrals. Independent providers handle assessments and any agreed installation. At the start of a conversation, ask whether you are discussing a referral or speaking with the business that may do the work. Get that business's name and contact details before arranging a visit. Keep them with your project notes so you know where to direct questions later.
Describe the part that feels difficult
A provider may ask about the existing tub, the bathroom floor, and the route into the house. Explain what you need help changing. A high tub edge is a different concern from needing room for someone to assist you.
Mention whether you want to sit while showering. If you use a mobility aid, explain how you use it in the bathroom. Share only the personal details needed to discuss the layout. You can ask what photos would help before sending them.
Use the assessment to check fit
Have the provider explain how the proposed setup would work during an ordinary bath. For a walk-in tub, ask about entry, door movement, and the time spent seated while water fills and drains. For a shower, discuss the threshold and where water could reach the floor.
You can point out storage problems and measure open floor space. The provider should check product fit and installation needs. Rough homeowner measurements are a starting point for discussion.
Put these questions beside the quote
Ask direct questions and keep the answers:
- Who will perform the installation, and who manages any subcontracted work?
- What plumbing or electrical changes are included?
- Who checks permit requirements and arranges any needed inspections?
- How will grab bars and seating be supported?
- What happens if damage is found after the old tub is removed?
- Who handles product faults or concerns about the finished work?
Ask for unclear answers to be explained in plain language. A written scope should let you see what is included and what remains undecided.
Decide when you have enough information
You control whether to accept a proposal. You can compare written scopes or ask for a revised option. Discuss deposits and changes to the price before signing. If the bathroom is your only one, ask how long it may be unusable and what could affect that estimate.
Request a callback to check provider availability and begin a conversation about your bathroom. A referral gives you a way to discuss the project. You still choose the provider and approve the work.
